Bertrand Edwin Savage - Class Of 1940 VIEW PROFILE

Gravside services for Bertrand Edwin Savage, age 90 of Marshall were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 1990 in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson, with the Rev. James Hoffpauir officiating.

Arrangements were by the Sullivan Family of Funeral Directors.  Mr. Savage was born on June 27, 1921 in Shelby County and died on October 13, 1990 at Willis-Knighton Medical Center, Shreveport after a lengthy illness.  Mr. Savage was assistant operator for Amoco Refining before retirement.  He previously worked for the State of Arkansas.  He attended Timpson schools and SFA.  Mr. Savage was a member of the First Baptist Church, Marshall.  He was a member of D.A.V. and American Legion.  He served in the U.S. Army WWII.

He is survived by two sons: Richard Savage of Carthage, and James D. Savage of Marshall, a mother, Mrs. Willie Savage of Timpson, one sister; Mrs. Dorothy Robinson of Dallas, three nieces and one nephew.
