Ernest Lloyd Crocker was born on March 29, 1926 in Center, TX to parents James T. Crocker and Thurza E. Cheney.  According to the 1940 Census he was living whith his aunt and uncle in San Augustine, Texas in 1940.  In 1945 he graduated from Timpson High School.  The following March 8, 1946 he married Lois Bernice Jones (1931-2009).  He may have remarried after a divoice in 1981 and then again in 1983.  The records are not clear on his marriages.  In 1986 he was living in Damon, Texas,  On January 23, 2004 he died in LaGrange and was laid to rest in Plum, Fayette County, Texas/
