Services for Mrs. Doris Brown Hayes, 66, of Mooringsport, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday July 7 at the McGuire Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian, La. Brother Don Moore, pastor of the First Christian Church of Oil City, where Mrs. Hayes was a member, will officiate. Burial: Memorial Gardens in Mooringsport.
Mrs. Hayes, a resident of Mooringsport for five years, died Sunday July 5, 1987, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport after a lengthy illness. She was born in Timpson, Texas. Mrs. Hayes was a bookkeeper and was a member of the Order Of The Eastern Star in Pratt, Kansas.
She is survived by her husband, Howard H. Hayes of Mooringsport; one son, Buck Hayes of Derby, Kansas; one daughter, Cynthia Fischer of Durango, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Mozelle Tiller of Mansfield, La.; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bob Hart, Leecy Attaway, Wayne Terry, Virgil Kessel, B.J. Carr and Homer Bryant.
