Paul Evans, 43, of Cold Springs, was accidetally killed in automobile wreck last Saturday afternoon about 5:30 o'clock, near Porter, between Cleveland and Houston.  His body was brought to Timpson Monday morning and lay in state at Taylor Funeral Home awaiting funeral rites.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at the Christian Church, with Dr. J.W. Stephens, pastor, officiating.  Interment was made in Woodlawn Cemetery. 

Mr. Evans was born in Timpson adn resided here a number of years.  He graduated from Timpson High School, and is a son of the late Dr. and Mrs. W.W. Evans of this city.  For a number of years he has resided at Cold Springs where he was engaged in the lumber business  He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Paula Ann; two brothers, Dumah and Avery Evans of Shreveport; two sister, Mrs. Mary Sworr adn Mrs. Sara Lytle of Shreveport.
