Ora Maxine Crump was born on March 9, 1927 to parents Newtie Crump and Sall B. Brookshier in Timpson.  According to the 1940 Census, it appears she had two sisters,Mozelle F. Crump and Dorlene Crump.  Maxine graduated from Timpson High School in 1944.
