Glen Williams Childs was born on September 17, 1926 in Timpson, Texas to parents Von and Evie Childs.  He had at least two siblings, Vernon Childs and Lavern Childs.  In the 1930 Census the family lived on the Caledonia-Garrison Road.  Glen graduared from Timpson in 1944.  On February 21, 1945, Glen enlisted in the Army in Houston. 

Glen died on October 8, 1999 at the age of 73 and was laid to rest in the Hayes Grace Memorial Park in Hitchock, Texas.
