Louis Gerald(Circa 1941) Hancock - Class Of 1941

It is not known if Louis graduated from Timpson High School but he did attend according to his obituary. It is estimated he graduated or would have graduated in 1941.

Graveside services for Mr. Louis Gerald Hancock, 77, of Stockman Community, were held Tuesday, November 28, 2000 at Hancock Cemetery in the Stockman Community near Timpson.  Phil Hancock and Jeff Hancock officiated.

Mr. Hancock passed away Saturday, November 25, 2000 in Houston. He was born February 12, 1023 in Shelby Countyto Elmer and Bonnie (Yarbrough Hancock.  He attemded Timpson High School.  Mr. Hancock was the former ownen of LIttle Texan Day Care Center in Houston. He was a Mason and served in the U.S, Army Air Corp Troop Carrier Command in Europe on D-Day until the end of the war during World War II.  He recieved several command bronze stars and unit citations.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Hollingsworth Hancock of Stockman, sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Hancock of Houston, Bill and Marsha Hancock of Pasadena, Gilbert and Roslyn Hancck of Garland; daughters Linda Moore of Austin, Kristie Axton of Houston, borhters, Paul Hancock of Tyler, Gail Hancock of Center, sister, Marcille Hughes of Cener, 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Mr.Hancock was preceded in death by his brother Norman "Bo" Hancock and sister, Haline Crawford
