Marshall E. Hooper was born on January 14, 1906 in Timpson, Texas to parents Obie Gran and Sarah Ann Lindsay Hooper.  We do not know for sure he graduated as we do not have records for that long ago.  He for sure played football at THS in the fall of 1922.  As  believe he graduated around 1923 or a little afterwards.  He married Sally Gladys Beckman on June 1, 1927 in Shelby County.  They had at least two children, Reba Lucille and Norm Jean Hooper.  In 1930 Marshall was living in Houston.  Around this time he was a policeman for Houston.  Marshall died in Pasadena, Texas on May 27, 1963 and is buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Timpson, Texas.
