Joe graduated from Timpson in 1941.  A lots of the old timers remember that Joe helped Billy Hunt get around by pushing his wheelchair.

Graveside service for Mr. Joe Bill Nelson, 89, of Timpson, TX, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 30, 2013, in Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson with Orval Miller officiating. Mr. Nelson passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013, in Nacogdoches, TX.

Born February 29, 1924, in Timpson, TX, Joe Bill Nelson was the son of the late U. S. Nelson and Fannie Williamson Nelson. He was a graduate of Timpson High School and served in the U. S. Army. Mr. Nelson had worked as a salesman and was a member of First Baptist Church, Timpson.

Mr. Nelson was preceded in death by his parents U. S. and Fannie Nelson and sisters Ben Jean Nelson and Frances Fox.
