Sue was 1936 graduate of Timpson High School.  She was born on July 9,1919 to parents Homer and Mabel Harrison Hawthorn and died on March 13, 1990.   She was a local extension agent in the home economics field and worked 30 years for the Texas Agricultural Extension Service.  Survivors included a step mother, Avice Hawthorn of Timpson, a sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Norris Crump of Timpson, a niece and nephew, Tonia Crump Hudman and Jeff Hudman.  She was laid to rest in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Timpson.  (Condensed from TAGHS Area Obituaries Booklet)
