Obituary:
Services for Thomas Rhodes Milford, 93, of Canton, Texas, are scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday January 22, 2014 at Eubank Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mike Roberson officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.

Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton, Texas.
Mr. Milford went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2014 in Canton, TX.
Thomas was born March 11, 1920 in Timpson, TX, to Henry Allen and Lula Davis Milford.

Thomas graduated from High School in Timpson, TX. in 1938 and shortly afterwards went to work for Texas Power & Light Co. in Nacogdoches, TX. He married Billie Jean Adams of Gary, TX. on June 14, 1941, and they loved and cherished each other for 69 wonderful years. Tom enlisted in the U.S. Navy following Pearl Harbor and served as a medic first with the Navy and then with the U.S. Marines in the Pacific Theater on Guam and Guadalcanal. Following the war, he went back to his job with Texas Power and Light and remained a loyal employee for 41 years, first as a lineman in Canton and then as a manager in Crockett, TX. He was a Christian and a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Canton where he served as a deacon for many years. Tom retired from the company in 1982, and he and Jean moved back to Canton to be near their children and grandchildren. He was known lovingly as "Gaga" to his four grandsons and thirteen great grandchildren. In his retirement years, Tom enjoyed serving in the church, fishing, playing golf, doing yard work, working in his woodshop, playing dominoes, reading and spending time with family and friends. He continued to faithfully serve the church until failing health prevented his active participation. Tom was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather. Thomas was preceded in death by his Parents, his Wife, Billie Jean Milford, daughter, Anna Jean Stegall and Sister, Sybil Rhame.

Surviving are Daughter, Patsy & Mike Chambless of Canton, TX., Son-in-law, Howard Stegall of Canton, TX. 4 Grandsons, Tim Stegall and wife, Tammy of Canton, Tx., Ken Stegall of Canton, TX., Chris Chambless and wife Lesley of Dallas, TX., Scott Chambless and wife Sally of Canton, TX., 13 great-Grandchildren, Jennifer, Danielle, Meagan, Anna, Sarah, Alyssa, Emma, Josh, Tommy, Colby, Katrina, Kaitlyn and Austin, Brother-in-law, Roy Adams and wife Judy of Spring, TX. many precious nieces and nephews, his loving family at Canton Healthcare and a host of friends.

Pallbearers are Tim Stegall,Ken Stegall, Chris Chambless, Scott Chambless, Josh Stegall, Danny Rhame, Bob Adams, Mike Abbott and Honorary Pallbearers are Deacons of First Baptist Church of Canton.
Family will receive friends Tuesday 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
