Winnie Fonville was born on March 5, 1920.  Her mother was Annie Fonville.  She had at least two siblings, May D. Fonville and Maxine Fonville.  She graduated from Timpson High School in 1938 and married Ben Hardy Bearden.  They had three children, Hardy Lee Bearden, Benjamin Bearden and Martha Bearden.   All three children graduated from Timpson High School and are now deceased.

Winnie passed away on June 30, 1997 and was laid to rest in the Blair Cemetery near Timpson, Texas.
