Audrey Lee Thornton was born on November 29, 1920 in Timpson, Texas to parents Arthur Theopolis Thronton and Jewell Bell Thronton.  She had at least three siblings, Midred Thornton, Louelia Thronton and Ross Thronton.  She graduted from Timpson High School in 1938.  She was married to Audrey Thomas King, Jr.(1925-1990). They had on girl, Mary J. King born in 1949.  Audrey passed away on April 1, 1987 at the age of 66 in Austin, Texas.  She was laid to rest in the Blair Cemetery near Timpson, Texas beside her hsuband.
