Mabel L. Andrews was born on November 20, 1899 in Timpson, Texas to parents, Willis Franklin Andrews and Frances Blankenship.  She had at least three siblings according to the 1910 Census.  They were Carl Andrews, Marcus R. Andrews and Ned F. Andrews.   Mabel graduated from Timpson High School in 1920. Her mother died in 1920 which was undoubley hard on the family with four children.  Mabel married Lamkin Burton.  On February 10, 1984 she passed away and her husband passed away on July 9, 1984. They were laid to rest in The Evergreen Cemeteryin Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
