Williamson September 29, 1928 - October 7, 2015 Resided in Baytown, TX Guestbook Photos Services Flowers Obituary Mildred I. Williamson, 87, of Baytown passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in Houston. She was born September 29, 1928 in Timpson to her late parents, Albert Porter Nelson and Lovie Crump Nelson. Mrs. Williamson, better known to her loved ones as Nanny, had lived in Baytown for the last 61 years, was a member of Second Baptist Church and the Lake BMPW and was a retired Head Teller from Citizens bank with nearly 40 years of service. She enjoyed following the Houston Astros, yardwork, stained glass and reading. She was devoted to her family, acting as a short order cook, baker, nurse, cheerleader and friend to her children and many grandchildren. She loved each child and grandchild for exactly who they were and for that she was loved deeply in return. Her loss will be felt by many in many different ways but she will be remembered in every bite of chocolate sheet cake, every birthday song sung, and every pot of homemade chicken and dumplins'. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Harold Lynn Williamson. Survivors include children, Tommy Williamson and wife Linda, and Terry Williamson and wife Naomi all of Houston, Patti Carhart of Shoreacres, Donald Motley and wife Becky of Trinity, and Paula Widner and husband Michael of Cove; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 12, 2015 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Stafford officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.
