Mary Jane Ramsey was born on February 26, 1929 in Timpson, Texas to paents William Marvin Ramsey and Suzy Jane Jackman.  She had three siblings, William Marvin Ramsey (1919-1919), Frances Elizabeth Ramsey (1921-1999) and Margaret Vivian Ramsey (1922-1984). 

Mary Jane Ramsey graduated from Timpson High school in 1945.  On June 30, 1950 she married Tmothy Dolan McPherson in Timpson, Texas at the age of 21.

Mary Jane McPherson was born on February 26, 1929 to William Marvin and Suzy (Jackman) Ramsey in Timpson, Texas. She passed away on Saturday April 11, 2009 in Dallas, Texas. She was 80 years old. She graduated from Timpson High School and went on to get her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Fine Arts from Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas. She married Timothy McPherson on June 30, 1950 in Timpson, Texas. She was an art teacher for the Jacksboro and Wichita Falls Independent School Districts. Painting and sculpting were two of her favorite pasttimes and which she was extremely talented. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the First United Methodist Church of Jacksboro, Texas and Kathy Myers of Autumn Leaves for all their love and care over the years. She is preceded in death by her husband Tim McPherson on January 22, 1990; her son Jeff McPherson; her sister Frances Hunter and husband Bill; her sister Vivian Burrows and husband Billy; her nephew Jimmy Burrows, Jr.; and her parents. She will be dearly missed by her son Rev. Brian McPherson and wife Cathy of Allen, Texas; her daughters Karen Cook and husband Jimmy of San Antonio and Gay Lynne McPherson of Dallas; her grandchildren Kendra Jones of San Marcos, Kirby Jones of San Antonio, Jeffrey and Alex McPherson of Allen, Texas and Ava Crews of Dallas; and many other family members, friends and students that she touched along the way. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 6 to 7 pm at Coker Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at First United Methodist Church in Jacksboro, Texas with burial following at Oakwood Cemetery.
