Mary Rodell Dent (Spencer) - Class Of 1952 VIEW PROFILE


Mrs. Mary Rodell "Dell" Dent Spencer, 76 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Friday, February 26, 2010 at Medical Park Hospital in Hope, Arkansas. She was born August 10, 1933, in Joaquin, Texas, to Roy B. and Mary Odell Johnson Dent. She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Hope, Arkansas and their Hilltoppers Group. She also was a member of the Red Had Ladies Society, “Melon Mad Hatters�. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Burdiss Dean Spencer; one son; Karl Barlow; and one brother, Jack H. Dent. HER SURVIVORS INCLUDE: THREE SONS: Randall R. Spencer and Carolyn, Hope, Arkansas. Guy F. Barlow, Jr., St. Thomas. George W. Spencer, Belleview, Illinois. THREE BROTHERS: Col. Troy J. Dent and Kay, Shalimar, Florida. Roy M. Dent and Maxine, Gary, Texas. Ted L. Dent and Pat, Nacogdoches, Texas. ONE SISTER: Ouida M. Whiteside, Austin, Texas. THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Talea Spencer, Hope, Arkansas. Guy Barlow III, Texas and Dylan Barlow, Texas. TWO GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Austin Spencer and Sally Spencer and a number of other relatives and friends. MEMORIAL CELEBRATION SERVICES will be 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Calvary Baptist Church, Hope, Arkansas, with Rev. Hal Dixon officiating.
