Loved the story told about Howard. Three different people have told me that it is true. Howard was a outstanding football player at Timpson High School. He went to The University of Texas on a football scholarship. He lettered one year there. I believe it was it was his junior year he was playing defensive back. It was very hot this afternoon. He went to the ice bucket and was getting some ice to cool off. The other team scored because Howard should have been in the game. He did not realize the Texas defensive unit was back on the field. The coach kicked Howard off the team!!!!'. Rest in Peace, Howard.
