Funeral for Gertie Loyce Webb Collins, 73, of Timpson will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel, Carthage, with the Rev. Mike Webb officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery. Collins died June 29, 2005, in Timpson. Born July 21, 1931, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Thatchell and Omie Loyce Oliver Webb. She attended Timpson schools. She worked for the telephone company, as a legal secretary for attorneys in Carthage, Center and Nacogdoches and for the Texas Workforce Commission in the job placement office in Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie R. Collins. Survivors include daughters, Jean Amos of Nacogdoches and Cathy Soape and Sonja Rolfes, both of Houston; brothers, Troy Webb of Sillsby, La., and Weldon " Tuffy" Webb of San Leon; and six grandchildren. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Deep East Texas. Hawthorn Funeral Home, Carthage.
