Geraldine Bryce was born on January 3, 1931 in Shelby County, Texas to parents Emaery E. Bryce and Winnifred Beatrice Bryce. She had at least seven siblings, Shirlene Fabera, Betty Ann, Winifred Jane, Billie Gene, Henry Warren, James Carrall and Ohleen.  She graduated from Timpson High School in 1949.  He should be noted that all of her siblings graduated from Timpson High School also!

We cannot find any records were Geraldine was married.  She died on September 13, 2001 and was laid to rest in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Shelby County.

Geraldine Bryce Compton, 70, of Richmond, Texas (formerly of Center, Texas) passed away September13, 2001at Polley Ryon Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Texas after a short illness.  She was born January 3, 1931 in Shelby County to E.E. Bryace and Beatrice Shipp Bryce.  She was a homemaker and and a Baptist. 

Surviving relatives:  Husband of 49 1/2 years, Howard Compton of Conroe; children, Connie Compton Brothers and husband Charles of Richmond, Richard Thomas Compton and wife Donna of Kansas, Howard Lee Compton and and wife Tersea of Conroe and Regina Compton of Richmond;  Jordan Compton, Zachary Compton, and Trey Compton, all of Richmond and Caleb Compton of Conroe;  sister, Lhleen Leatherwood of Utah, Betty Ann Burkhalter and husband Vinyard of Garrison, Phabreece Harvis of Timspon;  brothers, Bill Bryce and wife Bertha of Utah, Charels Bryce and wife Shirley of Canada; numerous nieces nephews, cousins, and freiends. 

Preceded in death by her parents, E.E. and Beatrice Bryce, sister Winifred Bryce Burkhalter; brothers, James Carol Bryce adn Henry Warren Bryce.
