THS CLASS OF 1965 CELEBRATES
45TH ANNIVERSARY

Saturday evening June 19, 2010 at 6 PM in the Party Room of Clear Spring was the place to be.
The graduating class from Timpson High School gathered to share memories and renew old bonds.
Eighteen class members, spouses, and additional guest fellowshipped while enjoying a good meal.
Sue Tyer Smith and Linda Perkins Morgan organized and hosted the reunion. Our 1965 class president, Freddy Wharton, served as master of ceremonies.

Those attending gave a short history of their years since graduation. Those not in attendance were missed. Efforts were made to update each ones whereabouts. Many members have come home to their family places and call themselves retired. Dee Ann McWilliams traveled the greatest distance coming from Virginia, where she makes her home on the outskirts of Washington D. C. Everyone was excited to see her and she expressed sincere feeling about being among old classmates and friends.

Charley Hairgrove and wife, Vickie, had their three year old grandson with them. Charley said at our 35th
reunion he had a three year old grandson with him. Hadn’t gone far? Yes, he has. He and Vickie have a total of ten grandchildren. Charley is active in a Cowboy Ministry around Splendora. He graciously offered the blessing before dinner.

Classmates attending that still call themselves local: Patricia Crump Clipper, Tommy Lee Williams, Tom Paul Wedgeworth, Sally J Langston, Barbara Edwards Crawford, Freddy Wharton, Linda Perkins Morgan, Judy Lilly Permenter, Jeanie Green Rhodes, and Kenny Smith.

Bruce and Bonnie Crump calls Kilgore home.
Patricia Bailey Hooper lives in Waxahachie, Texas.
Clydie Ceal and Eddie Flores make their home in Henderson where they both still work.
Wendell Neal and wife, Linda, make their home in Penelope, Texas.
John Crawford is South of Houston (Grand Isle) I think? His lovely daughter, Christie, attended with him.
Sue Tyer Smith and husband, Clinton, live in Big Springs, Tx.

Other guest: Linda Williams Ross and husband, Jim. Jim Ross is a professional photographer. He was kind enough to take many wonderful pictures to cover the event.
John and Gaye Stamps Childs (Class of ‘62/’68).
Ted Bailey (Class of ’64).
Gerald Stamps (Class of ’64) was accompanied by his wife, Mary.

Everyone truly enjoyed the get together.
Our Class Reunion pictures are to be put on the web site: www.timpson66.com.
