Barry was born in Panola County. He was a pipeliner and a member of the First Christian Church of Timpson. He was survived by two sisters, Kathy Burns and Jane Fulmer in addition to his father, B.R. Books and stepmother, Mary Brooks. Also his mother, Tommie Adams of Timpson.
Me and Barry were roomies in collage and we became close for a while. It was a sad day when I heard of his passing. He was a good lad and would have made a great man.
