Mrs. Clyde Reed Bussey was a native of Clayton, Texas. She was born in 1911. She was a retired school teacher with over 30 years of service to public shools. She taught a lot of grade schoolers in Timpson in the 1950s and 1960s. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.W. (Bill) Bussey. She had one son, O.W. (Bill) Bussey from the Class of 1965 and five grandchildren.

Now this was my favorite teacher in the whole school. She had the roar of a bear and the heart of a lion, but on the inside she was as soft and gentle as a lamb. She always told me I was her favorite student. I wonder how many more students heard those words. I only got to see her once after graduation, she was in the nursing home in Garrison.
