Comments:

I am delighted to be a part of this website. I have been searching recently on Facebook to locate some classmates. I would be interested in participating in a reunion. Since I have lived away from Timpson and the area for so long, I have really lost contact with classmates. Felton and I have lived in Illinois and South Carolina before moving back to Texas in 1994.

Since graduation from Timpson High School, I attended Stephen F. Austin for my bachelor's and master's degrees in Elementary Education. I have taught school in Texas, Illinois and South Carolina. Teaching third grade is my favorite.

I married Felton L. Beasley in May 1968. We have moved several times with his work.

I enjoy photography, travel, camping, and birding. Felton and I enjoy trips together enjoying the outdoors. Two of our favorite travels were to Alaska and a trip to four national parks - Glacier, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, and Rocky Mountain.

My hobbies are crocheting, photography, and wildlife excursions, especially bird watching.
One of the most difficult things in my life has been the death of our son Kevin at the age of 23. The memories grow sweeter as the years pass.

I am retired from teaching after 27 years total. We now live in Gary and are enjoying the country life. We had a garden this year and are now enjoying the canned and frozen vegetables and fruits.

School Story:

I especially recall enjoying my biology classes taught by Tommy Mack Hooper. Because of his teaching, I went on to minor in Biology and to continue science classes to earn the Elem. Specialist Degree in South Carolina.

Working with Mrs. Lurene Billingsley on the yearbook staff was another great memory.

I also fondly recall being in the band and traveling to contests and football games. We had a great military band under the direction of Mr. Golf.
