Honoring the life and service to our county of US Army World War II Veteran Staff Sergeant LEO CECICL “FATTY” MUCKELROY on the 31st year of his passing.  Born in Martinsville, Texas to Susie Virginia Walker and James William Muckelroy.  Served from induction November 20, 1942 to honorable discharge March 13, 1946.  Arriving in Europe in 1944 he served in France and Germany during two campaigns.  He and wife Helen Irene Warren rest in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas.

Regie Harris (1968)

I learned more about WWII from his personal experiences that anything from a book.  He brought real life into a classroom.

Lawayne Hendricks (1969)

A lot of the students never learned how good of a etcher he was because he was so nice of person, they took Advantage of him. I really learned a lot from him.
